Mapping a Categorized Indicator's Subtotal to another indicator

This section will explain how you can map the subtotals of a categorized indicator to other indicators.

Use Cases

Mapping the subtotals of a categorized indicator to other indicators can come in handy when you want to,

• use the subtotals as a disclosure

• use the subtotals for downstream calculations

Initiating the mapping

To initiate the mapping,

1. Simply click on 'Map subtotal to indicators' link button.

1. In the resulting modal, search and select the indicator to map to, and click 'Save'

If there are more than one subtotals (when multiple business areas are in the same fact recording screen), you may choose an indicator for each of the subtotals displayed at the left hand menu of the modal.

1. Upon successful mapping, observe that a link icon button is displayed. When clicked on, it will display a link to the mapped indicator.

The resulting mapped indicator is displayed when the link icon button is clicked on.

To remove the mapping, you will have to remove the resulting linked indicator.
